Aristotle Exercises (Day 2)

This class session is an opportunity to discuss all the material from Aristotle's Nicomachean Ethics presented in this unit, as well as the currently ongoing Live Like an Aristotelian exercises. We will also spend some time at the start of class considering the influence of Aristotle on the development of the contemporary virtue ethics movement and discuss the distinctiveness of this approach to normative ethics in modern moral philosophy.

  • Clear up confusions about Aristotle’s ethical theory, and critically engage with its strengths and weaknesses
  • Learn from one another about how the exercises are going, and share feedback with the instructors
